Emergency Management to Host Generator Awareness Event

generatorAre you prepared to be without power during critical times? Are you interested in owning a generator for your home, work, or place of worship? The Village of Mount Prospect Emergency Management is hosting a free generator awareness event! Purchasing, installing and maintaining a generator can be an overwhelming process. If you currently own or would like to own a portable generator, dream of having a whole house generator, or just have questions – this event is for you! This event was organized to give residents an opportunity to learn more about the process of owning and maintaining different types of generators. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from the Village’s Building and Inspection Services, Fire Department, Community Emergency Response Team, as well as local electrical contractors.
This event is open to the public on Wednesday, May 29, from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Fire Station 14 located at 2000 E. Kensington Road, Mount Prospect.
