Afternoon Tea: Mary Pickersgill

Afternoon Tea: Mary Pickersgill

Saturday | May 16
1 – 2 pm

Hear the amazing story of how this Baltimore flag maker sewed the flag that flew over Fort McHenry during the Battle of Baltimore against the British in September of 1814. Her flag inspired Francis Scott Key to write the words to a poem which has become our National Anthem. Tea and cucumber sandwiches will be served. Tickets are $25 for Historical Society members and $30 for non-members. For more information, visit mtphist.org.
