Open House - South MP Sub-Area Plan Update

Open House - South MP Sub-Area Plan Update

First created in 2009, the South Mount Prospect Sub-Area Plan is a long range planning document covering the south end of Mount Prospect. Since its completion, a number of recommendations have hinged on the development of the Metra STAR line, which was proposed to be a 55-mile north-south rail corridor connecting the outer suburbs of the Chicago Metro region to O’Hare Airport.

A key part of the planning process is incorporating input from the public, thus a variety of engagement activities will be scheduled later this summer to gather input from residents and business owners within the subarea boundaries. Take a look at our South Mount Prospect Brochure, which gives a quick overview of what the update is about, along with upcoming community events where you can share your ideas.

We would like to know what YOU think about South Mount Prospect. Please take a moment, and fill out our anonymous survey. Your participation is greatly appreciated. Completed surveys can be dropped off at the following location: Community Development Department located on the 2nd floor of the Mount Prospect Village Hall (50 S Emerson St.), Community Connections Center (1711 W Algonquin Rd.), or the RecPlex (420 Dempster St.).
